Qualifications and appointment procedures for notaries differ from country to country, and the items that a notary public certifies also differ from country to country. In Korea, appointed notaries and accredited notaries perform the duties of notaries. In order to be appointed as an appointed notary public or to be appointed as a notary attorney for an accredited notary public, a person must have served as a judge/prosecutor/lawyer, etc. for at least 10 years.
In order to receive notarization, after both parties have agreed on the contents of notarization, you can check the original with a deed of title such as an IOU or a promissory note, check the original at a law office with notarization, and apply for notarization. Knowing the effect of notarization
Notarization is recommended when there is a concern about a dispute with the other party. Notary work is largely divided into ‘preparation of notarial deed’ and ‘certification of librarian deed’. A notarial deed is a deed written by a notary public at the request of the parties, and has the effect of proving all the details of the contract with the parties.
A private deed is a deed prepared by an individual other than a notary public. If notarized here, it has the effect of confirming that the signature or seal was made by the person’s will. As such, a notary public is a document in which a notary public has proved certain matters, so it is used as strong evidence in a trial.
Among notarial deeds, there are deeds for which execution power is recognized. Execution power refers to the effect of performing compulsory execution (forced auction of real estate, seizure of bonds, etc.) based on the deed. Compulsory execution, in principle, requires a judgment, but notarial deeds are given the same effect as judgments. Therefore, if you obtain an enforceable notarial deed, you can save yourself the trouble of having to go to trial for a long time.

Know the types of notarization
Types of notarization include IOU notarization, translation notarization, will notarization, memorandum notarization, inheritance notarization, and electronic notarization.
IOU notarization: A notary public office prepares an IOU as a notarial deed or obtains a notary public certification for an IOU that has already been prepared. When the IOU is notarized, the notarized documents have strong evidence in civil or criminal trials, which is useful in preventing disputes as well as resolving disputes. Help.
Translation Notarization: In translation, foreign language documents may be translated into Korean to be submitted to domestic institutions, or Korean documents may be translated into foreign languages to be submitted to foreign institutions. Signing a written oath confirming that it is not different from the original text certifies the authenticity of the oath, but does not confirm whether the translation is correct.
Will notarization: A will is an expression of intention made in a certain way for the purpose of taking effect after death. Our Civil Law strictly stipulates the way of making a will, and a will that violates the way prescribed by law is invalid. There are several ways to leave a will, such as a handwritten document, audio recording, notarial document, secret document, and affidavit of dictation.
Electronic notarization: Electronic notarization must use the electronic notarization system managed by the Minister of Justice. To entrust certification of electronic documents, you must access the e-notarization system of the client and proceed with the entrustment procedure. In addition, the electronic document to be certified must be converted into a standard electronic document format and signed electronically.
